This section offers a catalog of online tools and tips for Learning Technology Design (LTD) courses. We've focused solely on tools that we think are of use to LTD courses, so we haven't catalogued general course-management tools such as Blackboard and WebCT. (We have, though, created a page for tips on how to use such programs.)
If you have a tool to add, please click here
. You will be prompted to fill out a short template, give your content a name, and then submit. Your content will be reviewed by the L2TD staff and posted promptly!
- AgentSheets — AgentSheets is an easy to use to author games and computational science applications. AgentSheets was used in all the University of Colorado Trails courses to prototype, build, test and publish educational games.
- EduForge Toolbox — The EduForge Toolbox is a repository of open source code and applications for creating web-based learning environments.
- Gorp (Gallery, Organizer, and Repository of Projects) — Every year students spend countless hours refining wonderful projects, but too often these are seen by few people beyond the course staff. Gorp aims to centralize the collection of student projects and provide archival and reviewing services, so that projects can be compared, contrasted and commented on.
- OpenCourse — OpenCourse provides free, integrated on-line collaborative tools such as Wikis, discussion boards, and calendars for groups developing digital learning assets.
- Schoolforge — Schoolforge is an advocacy group for organizations developing tools in the service of the creation of primary and secondary educational resources.

The tool list needs to be expanded. There are many educational software packages that could and probably should be included in the list.
